The TKT (Teaching Knowledge Test)
TKT (Teaching Knowledge Test) is ideal if you:
- Are already teaching, but would like to take an internationally recognised qualification to gain formal recognition for your experience
- Want to improve your career opportunities by widening your teaching experience into specialist areas
- Want to keep your teaching skills up to date.
Preparing for TKT will improve your confidence as a teacher and give you the knowledge and skills to help you develop your career.
You can take TKT whatever your background and teaching experience. You do not need to have a certain level of English to take it.
TKT is modular and flexible so you can fit your studies in around your work and other commitments. You can take the modules over a period of time to suit you.
As well as covering all the basics of good teaching practice, preparation forTKT can be adapted to your own teaching requirements. TKT centres can set their own syllabus to meet the needs of your local teaching environment.
TKT is awarded by Cambridge English Language Assessment, part of the University of Cambridge. It is internationally recognised, highly respected and a benchmark for quality.
