Nos cour pre-CELTA dédiés à la sensibilisation linguistique sont exclusivement réservés aux candidats ayant étés acceptés à une formation CELTA de The ELT Hub. Elle s’adresse aux locuteurs natifs de l’anglais mais aussi aux locuteurs non-natifs qui ne se sentent pas tout à fait à l’aise avec les termes grammaticaux.

Objectifs du coursLe cours vise à améliorer votre capacité à expliquer la grammaire avec assurance, ce qui se fera dans un environnement participatif ludique. Ce sera aussi l’occasion de faire connaissance avec certains de vos camarades de formation CELTA, vos tuteurs de formation, ainsi qu’avec les locaux de la formation et leur environnement, de manière à ce que vous soyez en terrain connu dès votre premier jours de formation CELTA.

Structure du cours

Le cours se déroule sur deux jours (jeudi et vendredi), la semaine précédant le début de votre formation CELTA. Il comprend 6 séminaires (de 75 minutes chacun) sur les deux jours.

Contenu du cours

Les séminaires peuvent inclure les domaines suivants, sans y être limités :

– Terminologie de base pour décrire la grammaire, et classification des mots.

– Introduction au sens, à la forme, à la prononciation et à l’usage.

– Verbes et temps : Formes futures et temps passés.

– L’aspect parfait.

– Voix passive, active et structures associées.

– Groupe nominal et quantificateurs.

– Vocabulaire : Collocations et expressions à mots multiples.

Coût et options de logement

Les frais de cours s’élèvent à 100€. Dans la majorité des cas, l’option d’hébergement retenue pour votre formation CELTA sera étendue de manière à inclure ces journées de cours.

Our pre-CELTA language awareness course is exclusively for candidates who have been accepted for CELTA at The ELT Hub. It is aimed at native English speakers, but may also be suitable for non-native speakers who may not be entirely confident with grammatical terms.

Course Aims
The course aims to increase your ability to describe grammar confidently – and this will be done in a fun and participatory environment. It will also provide you with an opportunity to get acquainted with some of your fellow CELTA course participants, course tutors, and the school building and surroundings, so that you’ll feel all the more ‘at home’ on the first day of the CELTA.

Course Structure
The course takes place over two days (Thursday and Friday) in the week immediately prior to the start of the CELTA course. There are 6 seminars (each of 75 minutes in length) over the 2 days.

Course Content
Seminars can include (but are not limited to) the following areas:

• Basic Terminology to describe grammar, and word class
• An introduction to Meaning, Form, Pronunciation & use
• Verbs and Tenses: Future Forms and Past Tenses
• Conditionals
• The Perfect Aspect
• The Active and Passive Voice and related structures
• The Noun Phrase and Quantifiers
• Vocabulary: Collocation and Multi-word expressions

Course Cost and Accommodation Options
The cost of the course is €100. In many cases, your accommodation for the CELTA course will generally be extended to include these days.
